What is precision grinding and why is it crucial?
Precision grinding is an advanced form of grinding where extreme accuracy is required to process hard materials with minimal tolerances. The process aims to achieve perfect geometry and fine surface finish on the workpiece, which is crucial in many technical and industrial applications. Our tools are used in grinding of, among other things, hardened steel, carbide and composite materials where high precision is a must.

How does precision grinding differ from cylindrical grinding and surface grinding?
Cylindrical grinding is primarily used to machine cylindrical parts and create precise roundness. Surface grinding is used to create flat surfaces with a high surface finish. Both methods provide good accuracy, but when tolerances become extremely small or the materials are very hard, an even more advanced method is required.
Precision grinding uses specialized diamond and CBN tools that enable machining with very fine precision, high repeatability and exact surfaces even with complex geometries.

Our popular ombelaggningsservice makes it possible to renew worn-out tools – a smart alternative to buying new. By re-plating tools with new abrasive grains, the service life is extended, which provides both economic benefits and reduced environmental impact. Reusing the basic body of the tools contributes to more sustainable manufacturing with reduced carbon dioxide emissions.
